Troubleshooting

Numbers that don't match, data that hasn't arrived, and error codes.

About 5 minutes.

My revenue doesn't match the network's dashboard

  1. Days: sales count on the day of the sale as the network reports it, not the day they were approved or paid.
  2. Status: pending and approved both count; reversed sales don't. Networks keep adjusting sales for weeks.
  3. Sites: sales are matched to a site by the sub-ID in the link. Sales without one show as "Not matched to a site" until you add sub-IDs (the free link check lists the links missing them).
  4. Currency: sales paid in pounds, euros or any other currency are converted to dollars at the European Central Bank's reference rate for the sale's day (Friday's rate for a weekend). The network may use its own rate, or the rate on the day it pays you, so small differences are normal. The Revenue page shows each sale's original amount.

Nothing has shown up yet

  1. Uptime: within five minutes. Traffic: after the next hourly run. Search: after 4am Pacific. Revenue: syncs at 5 and 11, am and pm Pacific.
  2. The Setup page shows each source's last run and its exact error, if any.

Error codes, in plain words

  1. 401: the key is wrong, expired or was reset. Make a new one at the network.
  2. 403: the key works but isn't allowed to read that report or account. Check permissions (Admin on Awin; the right account for Cloudflare).
  3. 429: the network asked us to slow down. It retries on the next run; nothing to do unless it lasts a day.
  4. 5xx or timeout: the network's side had a problem. It retries by itself.

MessageWhat it meansWhat to do
Not matched to a siteThe sale's link had no sub-ID naming a site, and the network didn't say which site.Add the network's sub-ID parameter (subId1, sid, clickref, u1) with the site name to your links.
